Christmas Centerpiece Ideas
What you will need:
- One piece of cardboard or Styrofoam in a rectangular shape.
- 12-15 assorted small boses (if you have different sizes and shapes, it works out better).
- A few Christmas rolls of wrapping paper
- A few Christmas ribbons
- A Few Christmas picks (normally you can find them in the craft or floral departments)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Christmas Greenery
Instructions on how to complete the project:
1.- Take the Christmas wrapping paper and cover your styrofoam and cardboard. This will be used as the base of the centerpiece. Using a hot glue gun will give you a clean finish, however you can use tape to secure it as well.
2. Wrap all of the small boxes with the wrapping paper and secure any edges with hot glue.
3. Take the boxes and arrange them on the base. Place the highest and largest boxes in
the middle, this will be the principal focal point. Then take the smaller boxes and arrange them around the larger boxes so the extend outside of the cardboard.
4. Next, add the boxes and ribbons to make a nice arrangement
5. Then glue all boxes to the base
6.- Once completed, make sure glue is dry, then proceed to adding the Christmas greenery and picks. This will definitely bring the centerpiece to life. Keep in mind that this is only an additional touch, to try not to go to extreme or overboard. Just keep on adding until you are satisfied with the look of your centerpiece.
Some additional tips:
If you are having children over to you party, then use wrapping paper with Santa, snowmen or reindeer on the paper or using vibrant colors like red and green to wrap the boxes.
Wrap the boxes with burlap or gingham if your them is country and use dried up flowers with cinamon sticks instead of using bows, picks and ribbons.
Use gold or silver wrapping paper if your party is a sophisticated event. Adding delicate lace and glass ornaments around the boxes will give your centerpiece that classy look.
Whichever route you decide to go, you will be rest assured that this centerpiece will be a conversation theme at your holiday party.
